New executable

Version 0.0.5 executable is released, take a look at it. Also version 0.0.6 is released in the source branches folder.

Big mess in 0.0.6, needs a lot of cleaning.

Ugly titleLess

Looks like all the patches to upgrade to version 0.0.5 where a mess, so, first thing to upgrade to 0.0.6 is another code cleaning.

We urgently need programmers to clean the code, pixelArtist to improve graphics, testers, sound, documentation, etc…

This is a good project, but it’s kind of difficult with only one person.

BTW, It could be great to modify the tiles file and the script so that the dungeon is taken from an XML file :D .

Ugly Fix

Character now appears randomly, but all change comes with sacrifices, the algorith for map positioning after the random process has a very ugly patch, we need to change that, and the smart algorithm for transparencies is still missing emoticon, and what’s worst, tomorrow is a working day, so the fix will delay till next weekend -hopefully-.

Release 0.0.4

We’re near to get to release 0.0.5, tile levels recognition works just fine emoticon, but there’s a problem with transparencies, the algorithm needs to be smarter, working on that, I hope it’s done by tomorrow.

The new 0.0.4 download executable is ready to download at our Google source page.

Open house

Well, this is an invitation for all the people who wants to contribute to this project, we’ll have two days of open house per week (Thursday from 6PM to 9 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 1 PM), today is the first day, so I’ll be at home fora any one in my same city and knows where I live, but I’ll also be online in my gmail account (titlessgame_at_gmail.com).

There are two issues before we get to release 0.0.5:

  • Transparencies for tiles blocking the character.
  • Character can’t climb more than one level of tile
We also need to implement menu, I’m looking at a script called simple pygame GUI, and it look really good :D .
